My 2025 Travel Bucket List

As we gear up for 2025, my travel bucket list is brimming with destinations that promise adventure, culture, and moments of restoration. From bustling cities to serene landscapes, these spots are calling my name. Here are the five vacation destinations I can’t wait to explore:

1. Chicago, USA

Known as the Windy City, Chicago is a treasure trove of architectural wonders, vibrant neighborhoods, and world-class dining. I’m especially excited to:

  • Stroll along the Chicago Riverwalk and admire the skyline.

  • Indulge in deep-dish pizza at iconic spots like Lou Malnati’s.

  • Explore the Art Institute of Chicago, home to masterpieces by Van Gogh and Monet.

  • Spend time at Millennium Park, soaking up its art installations and serene spaces.

Soaking up the lively buzz of the Magnificent Mile or finding a quiet moment by the shores of Lake Michigan makes Chicago a must-visit for me this year. I’m also thrilled to plan another Restorative Adventure here—stay tuned for more details soon!

2. Alaska, USA

For a complete change of pace, Alaska offers untamed wilderness and breathtaking natural beauty. For this wild adventure, these are my bucket list to-do's:

  • Witness the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) dance across the night sky.

  • Cruise through Glacier Bay and marvel at towering ice formations.

  • Hike Denali National Park for a glimpse of North America’s tallest peak.

  • Spot wildlife like moose, bears, and whales in their natural habitat.

Alaska’s rugged landscapes provide the perfect setting to reconnect with nature and find peace in its raw beauty.

3. London, England

Steeped in history and buzzing with energy and innovation, London never goes out of style. My must-do’s for this trip include:

  • Touring the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace.

  • Wandering through Borough Market to savor global flavors.

  • Enjoying a stroll along the Thames and a ride on the London Eye.

  • Visiting the British Museum and Tate Modern for an art and history fix.

From its iconic red buses to its charming pubs, London’s blend of tradition and innovation makes it an enduring favorite.

4. Singapore

This city-state is a marvel of innovation and cultural fusion. I can’t wait to experience:

  • Gardens by the Bay and its futuristic Supertree Grove.

  • The hawker centers for mouthwatering street food like chicken rice and laksa.

  • Orchard Road for high-end shopping and lively atmosphere.

  • A rooftop cocktail at Marina Bay Sands with panoramic city views.

Singapore’s seamless blend of urban sophistication and natural beauty promises an unforgettable adventure.

5. Florence, Italy

The birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence is a haven for art, history, and indulgence. On my itinerary:

  • Gazing at Michelangelo’s David in the Accademia Gallery.

  • Climbing the Duomo for sweeping views of the city.

  • Savoring Tuscan cuisine and fine wines in local trattorias.

  • Wandering the Uffizi Gallery, home to Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus.”

Florence’s charm lies in its ability to transport you to another era while offering modern-day delights.

Why These Destinations?

Each of these locations offers something unique: a chance to connect with history, revel in natural beauty, or immerse myself in vibrant cultures. Whether it’s walking through Chicago’s bustling streets, marveling at Alaska’s pristine landscapes, or indulging in the artistry of Florence, these destinations align perfectly with my goals for restorative travel and personal growth in the year ahead.
